How To Join The Souls In Exile Gaming Clan

Thank you for your interest in joining the Souls In Exile gaming clan. To ensure that all members are mature and have moderately proficient playing skills, we require that all potential members submit an application for consideration before joining.

We are looking for the following in a new clan member (from most important to least important):
  1. Maturity - Good sportsmanship, good attitude, willingness to learn, and a sense of humor.
  2. Playing Skill - If you just started playing, you might want to wait a little bit.
  3. Special Skills - Frex: Master of a specific weapon, Good at teaching others, or Mapping.
IMPORTANT! - Please note that if you are already a member of another clan which focuses on a game that the Souls In Exile clan has a server for, you may have to leave that clan before being allowed to join the Souls In Exile. Our definition of a clan does not extend to simple meeting places for friendly gamers. If you are in any doubt about whether or not you will have to leave your current clan before joining, please contact a Grand Council member on our forums.

To apply, please complete the following. This is a simple 5 step process:
  1. Play with us on a regular basis for a week or more. Do not skip this step. Yes, we check. Applications submitted before you have done this will be denied.
  2. If you have not already done so, sign up to use our forums using the forum registration form.
  3. Make a new thread, in the "How to Join - Clan Applications" section. As the subject of your post, use your in game player name, followed by a dash and the word "Pending".

For Example: "Mr. Awesome - Pending"

In your post, include ALL of the following information:

    1. The nickname(s) you use while playing.
    2. Your Steam name which people can use to add you to their friends list.
    3. Your Steam ID. How do I find this? Please make sure that you have this before you submit the application. It is key.
    4. Tell us about yourself... Where are you from, your interests, gaming history, where you are at in life, etc... Introduce yourself to those who may not know you yet.
    5. Tell us WHY you want to join the clan.
    6. List the names of some current clan members who can vouch for your maturity, and to a certain extent, your playing skill.
    7. Let us know which of our servers you play on regularly so that we can be looking for you.

  4. After you have made your post, clan members will reply to your thread to discuss it and, if they are willing, they will say that they endorse your application or "vouch" for you. This process can take several weeks, so please be patient and do not post in your own application thread unless asked to. If you've only been playing with us a few days then most people will not know you well enough to vouch for you, so it would be a waste of everyone's time to submit an application so soon. It would be best to wait. There may be additional questions for you, so please keep an eye on things.
  5. When the discussion is complete, a Grand Council member will mark your application as approved or denied. If they tell you that your application has been accepted, THEN you can add the =s!x= tag to your in-game nickname.
IMPORTANT! - Please do not ask people to vouch for you, and there is no need to thank people for doing so. We do not want clan members to endorse your application for any reason other than those outlined above (maturity & skills). Asking for endorsements will just make you look very silly. You can let people know that you have an application pending, so that people will know to pay attention to your playing habits and make their own decision, but campaigning for endorsements is not allowed.

Once again, thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.

TIP: A well thought out and grammatically correct application goes a LONG way towards demonstrating your maturity.
